The other band
While showing my musician brother around London's guitar shops, I was delighted to come across this interesting item in Hanks on Denmark St. It's a rosewood Fender Telecaster, custom-built for George Harrison in 1968, and famously played by him on their final public performance on the roof of the Apple building at 3 Savile Row on Jan 30th 1969. It's not for sale but, given that it was bought for $435,000 in 2003, one can only imagine what it might go for today (and how British to see it in a regular display case and not behind bulletproof glass).
